Welcome to the 2026 Black Belt Week! This is the largest number of Springville and Salem Black Belt candidates that Omega Martial Arts has ever had! Congratulations to participating in this culminating event as a tribute to all your hard work and dedication.
The Black Belt Testing sessions are open to all Omega students and families to come and watch. We will have plenty of seating for spectators.
We will also be streaming each of the sessions on the Omega Martial Arts YouTube Channel.
Schedule of Events:
EVERY MORNING AT 7 AM: Tai Chi with Hanshi Perdaris, held in the upstairs Springville dojang — ALL students and skill levels invited. $20 donation for the whole week, or $5/class
TUESDAY (6 – 8 PM): Two Omega-Wide Seminars $5/each
6:00 Martial Art Body Mechanics with Kwanjangnim Bob Wright; ALL students invited to attend
7:00 Nunchaku Sparring with Sabumnim Bill Wright; High Belts invited to attend (green belt and above)
WEDNESDAY (6 – 9 PM): 12th – 10th KUP requirements, Open Hand Forms, and Musicals
THURSDAY (6 – 9 PM): 9th – 3rd KUP requirements, Self Defense, Specialty Kicks, Sparring, and Musicals
FRIDAY (6 – 9 PM): 2nd – 1st KUP requirements, Okinawan Weaponry, Jiu Jitsu, and Musicals
SATURDAY (9 AM – Finish): Groundwork, Judo, Musicals, Specialty Kicks, Black Belt: Self Defense, Forms and Kicks; The Gauntlet, Board and Brick Breaking, and the Black Belt Ceremony.

A note for the Springville Dojang: Summer Holiday Break July 20-31; classes resume Monday August 3rd. This is a much needed and important rest period for our instructors and students.
